AI video for brands: weapon or gimmick?
AI video can make production faster and cheaper — or make your brand look generic. The difference is direction, not the tool.

AI video tools have changed what's possible for businesses that could never afford regular video production. They've also flooded feeds with content that all looks strangely the same.
So is AI video a weapon or a gimmick? It depends entirely on who's directing it.
Where AI video genuinely helps
- Speed. Concepts can go from idea to finished cut much faster than a traditional shoot.
- Volume for testing. You can produce multiple creative variations and let performance decide.
- Impossible shots. Visual ideas that would need big budgets or locations become achievable.
Where it goes wrong
- No idea behind it. A beautiful AI clip with nothing to say is still nothing.
- The "AI look". Default settings produce default results — and audiences are learning to spot them.
- Off-brand output. Without clear creative direction, every video drifts toward the same generic aesthetic.
How to use it well
- Start with the idea, not the tool. Write the concept and script as if it were a real production.
- Art-direct everything. Define the look, colour, pacing and tone before generating anything.
- Edit like a human. Rhythm, sound and cuts are where AI content becomes brand content.
- Be honest. Don't use AI to fake testimonials, people or results.
The bottom line
AI is a production tool. Creative judgement is still the product. Used with a real idea and real direction, AI video is a serious advantage. Used as a shortcut, it's just more noise.
We produce both on-site and AI video — whichever the brief needs.
